Mac-lovers in the house have some serious listening to do. When it comes to laptops, Apple has stayed atop pretty comfortably. Well maybe, just maybe the game is about to change. In recent news, Acer has introduced its first un-rivaled notebook computer with a curved screen – the Predator 21X. And for those of you who thought the Mac-book is a pricey piece, it fails to come even a tad bit close to the novel Acer, that is priced at jaw-dropping $ 8999 USD.
Unveiled officially at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the Predator 21x comes with a 2560 x 1080 resolution, the very latest Intel Core processors and a Nvidia GeForce GTX graphics processing unit. It further boasts of a 64 GB of DDR4-2400 memory and up to four 512 GB solid state drives along with five system fans to prevent overheating. Apart from the curved screen, another arresting feature of the Predator 21X is its eye-tracking technology, revealed in close association with tech- company, Tobii. Basically the novel function allows users to play games by identifying enemies or aiming at screen controls with eye-movements (minus a complete use of hands!). In total, 45 such games will support this progressive eye- technology.
The novel Acer computer further comes with an 8-cell, 88Whr battery that is estimated to last for about three hours. In addition, buyers will also get a mechanical Cherry MX keyboard. The Predator 21X, that probably the most expensive gaming laptop of its generation, will go live in North America onward next month.
