Behold the world’s first 165-inch folding MicroLED TV that costs $400,000

The evolution of smart TV design has reached a point where we know for a fact that rollable and foldable displays that hide away when not in use will be the next big trend. LG is one of the brands that is betting big on it and launched the 65-inch Signature OLED R rollable TV last year. However, Austrian-based C Seed’s latest product takes a completely different approach to the whole foldable TV design. Meet the C Seed M1, the world’s firstWQ-ever 165″ folding 4k MicroLED TV that fully hides under the ground when not in use. In case you’re not aware of brand C Seed, the Austrian high-end brand was started in 2009 by Alexander Swatek with two ex-Bang & Olufsen employees and is famous for creating extravagant televisions.

The M1 was designed as an indoor version of the famous C Seed 201 outdoor TV. “Big wall-mounted TV screens are an anachronism in modern interior design,” says C-Seed co-founder Alexander Swatek. “Therefore, C-Seed took a totally different path and came up with a revolutionary design.” The massive TV completely hides underneath the floor and rises silently at the push of a button. A sculptural column-like structure made of aluminum supports the display made of five panels that unfold seamlessly to form a monster 4K HDR display. The M1 uses MicroLED technology that promises unprecedented color accuracy and an exceptionally vibrant dynamic range. The M1 features an integrated 2.1 speaker system that uses a pair of 250W broadband speakers and a 700W subwoofer, and the TV also supports HDR10+. The C Seed M1 will be available in black, gold, silver, and a matt “Titan” grey when it goes on sale in July 2021, and it will carry a price-tag of $400,000.
