Steinway Lyngdorf Model LS Concert speaker is launched at CEDIA Expo 2012

By combing the dipole technology from their flagship Model D and the line source technology from Model LS, Steinway Lyngdorf has created one of the most advanced speaker systems you have ever come across. The speakers don’t come in a conventional cabinet but don’t let that throw you off. If you know how a musical instrument interacts with a room, you would be ecstatic to know that speakers produce an open and life-like musicality. Combine this with the ability to propagate sound over long distances by using line source technology. You have a speaker capable of producing brilliant sound intensities from the front to the room’s rear.

The proprietary RoomPerfect technology and full digital amplification from Steinway Lyngdorf will turn music into a complete audio delight. The Model LS Concert also features eight AMT (Air Motion Technology) tweeters. The specially designed tweeter features an ultra-thin, folded Kapton diaphragm with a large surface area. It combines the advantages of a dome tweeter with those of a ribbon tweeter, resulting in higher power handling and accurate detail reproduction.

You can pick up just the speakers for $86,000, and if you want the full stereo set-up that includes an SP-1 Processor, Model A1 Amplifiers, and Model LS Boundary Woofers, it’ll cost you $228,000.
