The Macallan has unveiled the exclusive 2022 M collection limited edition whiskies

No one delights whiskey connoisseurs like The Macallan. And in proving so, the marquee has recently introduced a trio of limited-edition single malt whiskies as part of the brand’s M Collection for 2022. Yes, you heard that right!

Designed to celebrate the brand’s ‘six pillars’: natural color, mastery, curiously small spirit stills, the estate, exceptional oak casks, and Sherry seasoning, the M collection is truly class-apart. Its new releases include The Macallan M 2022 Release, The Macallan M Black 2022 Release, and The Macallan M Copper 2022 Release.

Commenting on the spirits, Jaume Ferras, global creative director for The Macallan, said: “Our six pillars foundation stones embody all that is unique to The Macallan, together underpinning the renowned quality and rich character of our whisky.”

He further added, “The Macallan M Collection tells the story of these unique attributes and our dedicate to uncompromised excellence.” While The Macallan M 2022 Release (matured in Sherry-seasoned oak casks) boasts notes of chocolate, dried fruit, and spice, The Macallan M Black Release (aged in ‘rare,’ black-ended Sherry-seasoned oak casks) features a combination of smoky and fruity flavors.

Lastly, The Macallan M Copper (representing the distillery’s small stills) offers a taste of fruit and sweet malt and comes in a copper-colored, handmade crystal decanter. The former two are housed in a handmade Lalique crystal decanter and a handcrafted Lalique black crystal decanter, respectively.

Available in a 700ml decanter each, The Macallan M 2022 Release, priced at US$6,750, The Macallan M Black 2022 Release, priced at US$7,600, and The Macallan M Copper 2022 Release, priced at US$8,000, are available worldwide in both domestic and travel retail markets and select luxury hotels and bars, and premium retailers.
