New York City has received its very first Moët & Chandon champagne vending machine

Champagne enthusiasts in NYC- here’s some seriously good news for you! In making your choice of bubbly easily available to you – Moët and Chandon have now unveiled exclusive champagne vending machine (the first of its kind in the city) at the luxurious Lexington hotel. The ingenious dispenser churns out mini bottles of the spirit and is located next to the hotel’s new jazz age-inspired bar – The Stayton Room.

The quirky vending machine features 200 mL bottles of Imperial Brut or Imperial Rosé, and each bottle is dispensed with a complimentary flute of its own. To procure a drink of their choice, guests will need to get the Moët & Chandon stamped $25 gold coin at the bar and then clink it in the machine to see the magic unveil before their eyes. The novel champagne offering also pays tribute to the hotel’s most famous former resident, Marilyn Monroe. Monroe, who often preferred sipping on her favorite bubbly staying at the Lexington.

Commenting on the machine, Lexington Hotel’s Director of Sales and Marketing William van Wassenhove said in a statement. “This is an exciting time for the Lexington Hotel, as we just introduced The Stayton Room, and we continue to evolve with this next chapter in our story. We are always looking for new and unique ways to engage with our guests, and what’s more fun than drinking Champagne straight from the bottle?” Moët & Chandon had also launched a similar champagne vending machine in Las Vegas in 2017.
