LVMH-owned Hennessy celebrates the 300th birth anniversary of its founder with a beautiful, limited-edition $22,000 cognac bottle designed by Daniel Libeskind

What good is a celebration if it is not grand? Not one to let the 300th birth anniversary of its founder, Richard Hennessy pass without pomp, Hennessy released a limited-edition Richard Hennessy Magnum. Touted to be one of the cognac brand’s most rarefied blends yet, the Magnum edition was brought to life at Hennessy’s Atelier des Éditions Rares in Cognac, France. It is accompanied by a striking 1.75-liter decanter, dreamed up by iconic designer Daniel Libeskind, who relies on the beauty of Baccarat crystal and superlative imagination to create a levitated effect.

The Richard Hennessy Magnum features a portrait of the Irish military officer and businessman, reflected through the crystal etched by French calligrapher Nicolas Ouchenir. This collectible comes with two Richard Hennessy glasses in cut crystal, a pipette, and a holder. The cognac is the real treasure here, boasting flowery notes, soft spices, nutmeg, notes of leather, and hints of fennel.
