The popup Moët Academy in London offers champagne connoisseurs a chance to get to know their favorite drink

Need a crash course in Champagne? Moët & Chandon is offering just that through a pop-up school in London called the Moët Academy. Described as “an educational and immersive experience” the class allows champagne enthusiasts to learn more about their favorite drink including information about the Champagne region, its vineyards and grape varieties, the champagne making process, the points that differentiate it from sparkling wine and how long it takes to get from from vine to glass.

You can’t learn about champagne without tasting champagne! The class includes an in-depth tasting of the Moёt & Chandon range and will be presented by well-known names like Peter Richards MW, Susie Barry MW and Jonny Gibson. The former two run their own wine school in Winchester and present wine segments on BBC One’s Saturday Kitchen while the latter boasts 25 years of work in the wine industry and is an approved WSET Wine Educator who holds the WSET Diploma.
