Star Wars collectors unite! Would you shell out $10250 for this Swarovski studded Darth Vader?

With new Star Wars films, comes more collectible Star Wars merch. This time it is Swarovski who has rendered the franchise’s ultimate villain in shimmering crystals. The Swiss company has debuted a limited edition Darth Vader figure covered with crystals and worth $10,250.

Only 300 pieces will be created and sold worldwide and Swarovski says they are only crafted on demand and each ones comes with a certificate of authenticity. The figure shows Darth Vader wielding a light saber and is rich in detail thanks to the use of 29,000 hand-set crystals.

Each figure takes 120 hours to complete and bears a unique number on its granite base. They are presented in a premium blue suitcase. You don’t need to be a superfan to want one of these cool looking models, however the high price tag means that the brand is only courting serious collectors. If Swarovski ever introduces a Death Star covered in crystals, we’ll be throwing our money at them without a thought.
