Dolce and Gabbana to marry high fashion and luxurious hospitality in pristine Maldives with a new luxury resort.

Maldives accurately called heaven on Earth, is about to get glamorous with the advent of Dolce & Gabbana’s luxury hotel. High fashion will shake hands with luxury as the Italian label teams up with Saudi property developer Dar Global for their pristine real estate debut. Ziad El Chaar, CEO of Dar Global, said, “We are thrilled to bring the world-renowned Made in Italy brand ambassador Dolce & Gabbana into the world of real estate and hospitality. Our partnership represents a unique interpretation of the brand’s Italian spirit and reinforces our commitment to delivering exceptional living experiences and investment opportunities to our clients. We are confident that this partnership will be a great success, and we look forward to working with Dolce & Gabbana to bring their vision to life.”

While Dolce & Gabbana is synonymous with style and fashion Dar Global is a real estate giant best known for its projects in the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bosnia, the UK, and Spain. Some of Dar Global’s notable projects include Urban Oasis Tower in collaboration with Missoni, Da Vinci Tower with interiors by Pagani, Les Vagues residences by Elie Saab, and the W Residences Dubai – Downtown.

LVMH owned Cheval Blanc has a luxury resort in the Maldivies.

For now, details of the project are scarce, with no clarity on the completion date. Recently, fashion brands have been hopping on the trend of delving deep into real estate. Giorgio Armani has done it (Armani is set to open an ultra-luxury hotel in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia), and so has Bulgari. Even luxury watchmakers Jacob & Co are building the world’s tallest residential 100-story tower in the heart of Dubai.
