Philippe Starck has designed a luxe wellness resort on the coast of Saint-Tropez

An artist with a penchant for luxe stays? Check out French architect and designer Philippe Starck’s latest work on the renovation of Villa W, a boutique wellness hotel on the coast of Saint-Tropez. Complete with warm tones and modernist references, it is a treat for the eyes – to say the least!

Created as a smaller version of the Starck-designed Lily of the Valley hotel nearby, Villa W features fitness and wellness lodging in a revamped property that spans 1,559-square-metre approximately. It is situated on the southwestern corner of the peninsula in the French Riviera town and is designed as a romantic hideaway”.

Commenting on it, Philippe Starck in a statement said, “We’ve all dreamed of a little cabin, chalet, or fisherman’s hut by the sea.” He further added, “We don’t have to dream anymore, because we’ve made that dream a reality – a romantic hideaway nestled in a pine forest that looks down onto the Mediterranean at La Croix-Valmer.”

The gorgeous villa features two floors with three double rooms and can cater to up to six guests at a time. Each room extends to a private terrace and offers panoramic views of the Mediterranean landscapes. It is ideal for relaxation and those looking to rejuvenate with health in mind.

Starck drew inspiration from mid-century modernism to revamp the property. As a result, it features tan leather sofas, wooden ornaments, and rust-colored rugs, with the use of wooden flooring and soft furnishings. Vintage items such as a brown Egg Chair by Arne Jacobse, wooden Walnut Stools designed by Charles and Ray Eames, and more can also be found throughout.

Well, you can’t help but revere this one!
