Dubai is a city unlike any other. A playground for the rich and famous and an architectural wonder with its dramatic skyscrapers piercing through the clouds. This once desert land is now a city boasting the best of everything; from sand dunes to the azure waters of the Persian gulf to manmade monuments of astronomical proportions.
One such man-made marvel on the Dubai coastline is Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort. Located on the Eastern crescent of the iconic Palm Jumeirah, an archipelago of islands connected to the mainland, the resort has 260 Lagoon View and Access Rooms, 12 Beach Pool Villas, 18 Over Water Villas, and 3 Two Bedroom Villas. We chose to feature the grand One Bedroom Beach Pool Villa as our suite of the week as it’s a sure winner for space and indulgence. Let’s take a look at what this villa offers.
Measuring 915 sq. ft., the one bedroom beach pool villa is perched along the shoreline of the Arabian gulf which means you get stunning views of the ocean. The decor is Asian inspired with rich earthy colors and elegant accents. It comes with a king-sized bed and gorgeous views of the ocean. The bedroom also features an en-suite living area with sofa and a 42″ LED TV. The villa also features a workspace, personal safe, and a mini bar. Complimentary WiFi is provided for those who wish to stay connected. The bathroom is lavish with two sink areas and features a bathtub and separate rain shower.
What we love most is the private infinity pool that appears to kiss the ocean. This is the perfect spot to chill out in the evening with a drink in hand and watch the sun go down. If the pool is not enough for you, the villa also gives you private uninterrupted access to the ocean. We also love the terrace as it gives you a gorgeous view of the ocean and the city; another perfect place to watch as the sun sets and the city lights illuminate the seascape.
Dining options are aplenty. You could either dine in the comfort of your own room or at the resort’s many restaurants. Crescendo offers delightful international cuisine with fabulous views of the pool or the coast. Mekong specializes in Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese cuisine. Bushman’s Restaurant & Bar is their Australian restaurant where you can relish succulent cuts of prime meat and fresh seafood prepared at the Parilla Grill along with superior Australian beverages. You can also opt for a candlelit dinner on the beach or the water’s edge for a private dining experience.
If you would like to experience a traditional Turkish Hammam, the Anantara Spa offers both private and shared Hammams. The spa has 24 treatment rooms including Thai massage Room, holistic cocoon Room and an Ayurveda Room. Do make sure to indulge in one of their signature treatments.

Why should you splurge on it?
The combination of earthy tones and luxurious furnishings gives the villa a very cozy yet glitzy feel. Everything is extravagant in Dubai and while the villa is as well, it somehow oozes a sense of zen which is very much needed in this fast paced city. Plus, the infinity pool and ocean access make it feel like an oasis of bliss and pure fun at the same time. Choose to relax in your private pool or indulge in some fun water sport activities by the beach. You have the best of both — relaxation and fun while staying in this villa.
