There aren’t a lot of things that get us as excited as luxury hotels do, but spas are certainly on the list. And when a spa offers unabashedly hedonistic treatments in an island paradise location, what more is there to ask for? The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort is already a beautiful place to vacation, but their Iridium Spa has pretty much taken things to the next level with their newly launched Iridium Signature Legacy package. The experience is comprised of four separate treatments that use a laundry list of exotic ingredients –including Caviar! – to pamper and relax guests. The treatment is four days long! And you get to spend those days lounging against the backdrop of the crystal clear waters of the ocean, now that’s the good life.
The $1,425 Iridium Legacy experience is comprised of four treatments and a bespoke wellness consultation, as well as use of the expansive hydrotherapy Blue Hole Pool. The pool is filled with heated seawater and also features an array of whirlpool jets. It’s the best possible hybrid of what the ocean, a hot spring and a Jacuzzi have to offer.
The treatments take place in the six overwater treatment rooms which have “portholes” with that offer glimpses of the seabed. Guests can watch the teeming marine life below while they’re being treated.
The package begins with a 30 minute consultation with the resort’s in house wellness doctors, which allows for a personalized experience.
Next is the 90-minute Iridium Signature Touch Treatment which uses traditional Asian techniques to apply pure natural oil to the skin. This is followed by a warm sand scrub from Vommuli Island’s beach, dipped in virgin coconut oil, and rubbed over the upper back to penetrate organic minerals into the skin, relieve muscle tension, and improve blood circulation.
A 60-minute rose salt body scrub is followed by a Mococa body wrap. Mococa is made from cocoa, coffee beans and coconut milk; it provides soothing nourishment to the skin and sounds good enough o eat!
Next, the 120-minute Shirodhara treatment involves a four hand massage followed by pouring a steady stream of warm herbal oil onto the third eye chakra on the forehead.
The pièce de résistance of the package is the 210-minute Caviar Journey which begins with deep breathing exercises before using bamboo and fruit enzymes to buff the skin. The anti-ageing caviar proteins firm, tone, refine and deeply hydrate the skin. Then a therapeutic massage, using the finest Neroli massage oil enriched with magnesium, relaxes the muscles and dissipates tension. The Caviar Journey concludes with a lavender bath during which guests can sip a glass of Champagne, sample some caviar, and enjoy the inimitable view of the Indian Ocean.
Four days of lavish pampering with a side of caviar and Champagne, even with that heavy $1,425 price tag this sounds like heaven to us!
