After fulfilling the dream of seeing Tiffany on your wrist, it is time to watch the dazzle on screen. Historic, right? Yes, quite literally. For the first time in its history, Tiffany & Co. has curated a collection of rare archival diamond jewels alongside contemporary high jewelry for Guillermo del Toro’s highly anticipated new film, Frankenstein.
The Netflix film had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival and stars Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, and Christoph Waltz. It is an iconic moment for the nearly 200 year old house founded in 1837. Back then, it began as a stationery and gift shop in New York City. As the first luxury jeweler to partner with Netflix, Tiffany & Co. will celebrate this collaboration with window displays at The Landmark and a presence at a Selfridges exhibit. The cinematic charm will enliven Fifth Avenue and 57th Street with specially designed digital screens and animations synchronized to the film’s monumental score, composed by Academy Award winner Alexandre Desplat. Dramatic lighting will electrify Fifth Avenue and reach its highest voltage after dark.
In addition, a five minute featurette unveils exclusive behind the scenes footage of Tiffany & Co.’s role in Frankenstein. It offers a glimpse into the minds of Guillermo del Toro, costume designer Kate Hawley, actress Mia Goth, and Tiffany & Co.’s Vice President and Creative Director, Tiffany Patrimony and Global Creative Visual Merchandising, Christopher Young. It is a sneak peek into Tiffany & Co.’s extensive jewelry archives and historical objects that are as breathtaking as they are befitting for the film and its aesthetic.
From October 8 to November 3, the Frankenstein inspired window displays will be at The Landmark. The Selfridges London exhibit will run from October 17 to November 9. Frankenstein will be released in select theaters on October 17 and on Netflix globally on November 7.
