World’s most expensive Muslim prayer clock by Smith of Derby

We had read about Mecca getting the Big Ben-like giant clock, now here is another one inspired by British craftsmanship. Smith of Derby has unveiled the world’s first luxury Muslim prayer clock at the UAE Interiors show in Abu Dhabi. The clocks come in gold leaf finish and cost $32,529. It aims to bring a focal point to prestigious interiors such as mosques and hotel receptions and homes. It integrates city and daily specific prayer times with ‘classic design.’ The 154-year old family-owned company is also renowned for designing the world’s most expensive clock to celebrate the royal wedding.
