London now has a tour bus for dogs (and their humans)

Here’s a ride your pooch is going to love. A free bus ride for you and your dog around London’s top doggy spots! This is actually the world’s first tour bus for dogs with stop-offs at some of London’s most scenic dog walking spots, including Hyde Park and Green Park, dog-friendly restaurants, and other places of interest for dogs and their owners. That’s not all, there will also be a commentary on spots that have “a historical connection to canines.” Plus, you will be handed a map of all the dog-friendly pubs, bars and restaurants around the city.

Aptly named K9, the bus departs three times a day from Millbank, near the Tate Britain on the South Bank of the Thames, for a 90-minute whistle-stop tour of the best doggy spots in London. UK insurance company More Than is hosting this and this pooch service will be available only from Jan 16th to Jan 19th.

“London is a city famed for its fascinating history and rich culture, much of which man’s best friend has been heavily involved in,” said More Than spokesman Steve Jay. “The K9 Bus Tour aims to celebrate this often under-appreciated fact, while also providing owners with a fun and unique way to spend time entertaining their beloved pet.”
