2023 Land Rover Defender 30th Anniversary Edition is a homage to the first Defender model to be sold in the US


Land Rover has revealed a special celebratory version of the Defender to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the limited run of 1993 Defender 110 First Edition models that were sold in the US. The Defender returned to the US market in 2020 after a hiatus of 13 years. Limited to just 500 units, the 2023 Defender 30th Anniversary Edition is based on the 110 P300 S model and will be exclusively available for sale in North America. The commemorative model pays homage to the original by featuring a similar appearance thanks to its Fuji white exterior paint, white 18-inch steel wheels, and a heritage-inspired badge on the rear with the unit’s specific serial number. To make the special edition look sturdy and rugged, Land Rover has equipped it with a roof rack, fixed side steps, fender flares, a deployable ladder, a grille guard, and mud flaps for all four tires.

As it’s based on the four-door 110 S model, under the hood is the manufacturer’s turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four that’s capable of producing 296hp. The special edition also comes equipped with numerous optional extras as standard kit, including the Cold Climate package, the Tow package, the Off-Road package, and the Black exterior appearance package”The Defender 30th Anniversary Edition is a modern classic that pays homage to the heritage of 1993 Defender 110 First Edition,” said Jaguar Land Rover North America CEO Joe Eberhardt. “This Edition celebrates the Defender model legacy here in North America, while offering technology and features that the adventurers of today expect in a new vehicle.” The 2023 Land Rover Defender 30th Anniversary Edition is available for order and the pricing starts at $76,350, which includes a $1,350 destination fee.
