A special McLaren F1 LM 1:8 scaled model up for grabs


After the F60 Ferrari, Bugatti Veyron 16.4, Timossi-Ferrari anro XI mototboat, it’s a McLaren F1 LM up for grabs, for an avid collector of scaled luxury car models. Put on sale by the Amalgam Fine Collection, the original car was an exclusive 5 units only variant created in 1994 as a celebration of the GTR success at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The 1:8 scale model, limited to 199 pieces, sports the original “Papaya Orange” hue, a color picked by Bruce McLaren himself. Priced at £3320 ($5,385) apiece, you will also receive a book titled “Driving Ambition,” written in collaboration by Doug Nye with Ron Dennis and Gordon Murray, which traces the car’s history from conception to completion.
