You don’t need to be a spy to own the Aston Martin DB12 Goldfinger Edition, a tribute to a 60-year-long James Bond partnership, but you will have to move fast since only 60 will be built

The 60-year-long partnership between Aston Martin and the James Bond franchise has seen a lot of action through the years. Aston Martin went from being a fan suggestion to Ian Fleming, author of the James Bond books, to the brand being immortalized on the silver screen as the Bond car. Aston’s bespoke personalization Q Division has taken the wraps off the Aston Martin DB12 Goldfinger Edition to commemorate the occasion.

Featuring nods back to the Goldfinger DB5, only 60 units will be made, and each comes with limited-edition 007 memorabilia for hardcore Bond fans.

Ian Fleming’s Bond initially drove a Bentley in the books, before the fictional spy switched to an Aston Martin DB3. The film adaptation of Goldfinger starring Sean Connery saw the Aston Martin DB5 as a Bond car for the first time. Aston Martins went on to star in 12 Bond films over the years, from 1964’s Goldfinger to 2021’s No Time to Die.

The Aston DB12 Goldfinger Edition doesn’t feature any mechanical changes to the grand tourer’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 making 680 horsepower, but does have subtle hints to the original DB5 from the movie. Like the ‘eight of hearts’ embroidered into the driver’s sun shade, the Silver Birch paint job, gold side strakes, a custom Aston badge, and chrome ‘Q’ badges on the fenders. Inside are 18K gold-plated accents on essential controls, decorative plaques, DB5-style fluted upholstery, and a very cool gold weave in the carbon fiber accents.
