Sure, you need to have seriously deep pockets to buy the Batmobile for $3 million but living out your wildest Bruce Wayne fantasies in the process is honestly priceless

Warner Bros is taking officially licensed merchandise to the next level with this official replica of Batman’s Tumbler from the hit Batman Begins film. It’s easy to forget that the design of this Batmobile is nearly 20 years old at this point but don’t worry, the actual vehicle is new. A total of 10 Batman Tumblers have been commissioned by the studio, made in collaboration with Action Vehicle Engineering.

Each is fully functioning, and drivable but unfortunately not street-legal unless you’re willing to get on the wrong side of the law, like Batman sometimes did. At $2.99 million each, available on the official Wayne Enterprises website, it’ll take a real Batman fan to pick up one of these.

The Tumbler is classified as a light-armor vehicle made of kevlar, carbon fiber, sheet metal and fiberglass. The original movie vehicle was powered by a Chevy small-block V8, this replica has arguably more firepower with a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 putting out a healthy 525 horsepower and 486 lb-ft of torque.

Considering the Tumbler weighs approximately 5,511 lbs, or about the same as the new BMW M5, it should make chasing down bad guys easy. If you’re the one trying to make a quick getaway, the onboard smoke delivery system should help. The Tumbler can even be customized so that it fits around each lucky owner.

While we’re not sure what the demographic currently is for a $3 million piece of licensed movie magic, we’re sure the 10 sets to be built won’t have trouble finding homes… or Bat Caves. Considering the range of other Wayne Enterprises-built luxury merchandise from accessories to jewelry, it’d sure be interesting to see what the Tumbler Owner’s Club ends up looking like.
