BMW and Pininfarina team up to present the BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupé at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2013 in Italy. For the first time, the two renowned brands have come together to show off this one-off creation that represents the exclusive interpretation of a BMW Coupé by Pininfarina. The design teams from both brands executed their skills to give shape to BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupé. Sporting a long wheelbase and a stretched bonnet, this two-door car exudes balance and harmony. Powered by a V12 engine, the elegant car also sports a hallmark double-kidney grille, flat road-focused headlights, and special-edition 21-inch wheels. An eye-catching detail is the transition from the roof to the rear lid: two elaborately shaped struts extend the roof pillar towards the rear, ensuring an elegantly fluid transition of the roofline into the tail section.
Step inside this four-seater luxury coupé to check out the elegant interior fitted with the finest leather from Foglizzo and kauri wood.
The roof liner of finest Italian virgin wool features the striking “Principe di Galles” pattern. Allowing extra light into the interior is an oblong aperture in the roof liner which is additionally illuminated by white LEDs.
Occupant’s feet can rest on a dark grey soft deep-pile carpet. Also, watch out for the freestanding B-pillars and frameless doors that appear very light.
There is no word about the production plans. However, auto enthusiasts expect that a few BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupé will be sprinkled on to the future BMW cars.
