Aimed at young speed fans, the Bugatti Baby II Special Edition pays homage to the $4 million Tourbillon hypercar and is probably the most affordable Bugatti, despite costing more than a BMW M4.

Pricing on the Bugatti Baby II Tourbillon special edition hasn’t been revealed yet. Previous editions of the Bugatti Baby II cost up to $70,000, though. This special edition Tourbillon version could likely cost more, based on the craftsmanship — all 200 man hours of handcrafted passion courtesy Henley Studios, previously The Little Car Company. Still, it’s a shade of the Bugatti Tourbillon’s $4 million-plus price tag.

Still, that puts Bugatti’s version of a children’s electric car at about the same price as a 2024 BMW M4 before options. Considering the last Bugatti Baby II special edition was limited to 500 units and only available to owners of the Bugatti W16 Mistral, this special edition is likely to be highly exclusive too.

This quarter-scale model is built for children but it’s entirely possible for an adult to get behind the wheel and have a whale of a time. The electric motor and battery that powers other models in the Baby II series means its good for up to 42mph!

If the new Baby II Tourbillon is packing a similar powertrain, expect similar performance. Sure, it’s a huge step down from the Bugatti Tourbillon’s 1,800 horsepower from its newly-developed V16 engine. But the Baby II Tourbillon is all about packing in the same attention-to-detail and design flourishes.

To that end, the Bugatti Baby II Tourbillon is finished in the same shade of light and dark Aerolith as the company’s new flagship hypercar. The aluminium bodywork is hand beaten, using the same techniques as the original Type 35 that’s an integral part of Bugatti’s history.

Some lucky Tourbillon owner could make his child the luckiest 8-year-old in the world with this scaled-down Bugatti. Or have the coolest car, next to the Tourbillon, itself.
