Ferrari F1 driver Charles Leclerc liked his sinister matt black Ferrari 488 Pista with the Monegasque flag on it so much, he got his $2.5 million Ferrari Daytona SP3 painted the same colors


When you drive for one of the most historied motorsport teams in history, you could get used to some pretty exclusive perks of the job. In the case of Charles Leclerc, Ferrari Formula 1 driver, that extends to getting an allocation of one of just 599 Ferrari Daytona SP3 units slated for production. What’s even better is getting one tailor-made to match one of the best-known Ferraris out there — Leclerc’s very own sinister matt black Ferrari 488 Pista, finished with the Monegasque flag as racing stripes from the front to rear.

The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is the third in Ferrari’s Icona line after the Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2 models. What makes it even more special is the Daytona SP3’s 6.5-liter V12 with 829 horsepower — it’s naturally aspirated in a sea of hybrids, and it revs out to 9,500rpm! To top it off, it’s got a removable targa top. Leclerc’s Daytona SP3 is finished in a satin black with contrasting details in gloss black, with red detailing all around the bodywork’s edge to make the lines pop. It’s quite necessary, considering the dark paintwork is perhaps too effective at hiding the intricate bodywork shaped in a wind tunnel.

As with Leclerc’s other Ferraris, his Daytona SP3 features his race number 16 inside and out, with a plaque with his signature placed between the seats as well. The seats themselves are trimmed in red to sit nicely in contrast with the exteriors. Considering the performance on tap with the Ferrari Daytona SP3, it looks like quite the upgrade to Leclerc’s Ferrari 488 Pista. Let’s see if it inspires anyone else to get their Daytona SP3 fully murdered out like it.
