Chevrolet is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the iconic Corvette sports car with a special trim package

Come 2023 the Chevrolet Corvette will turn 70 years old. To celebrate the American icon’s 70th anniversary, the company has created a special trim package that pays tribute to the “longest running nameplate of any car on the road today.” Well, we already knew about the existence of the Corvette Z06 70th Anniversary Edition as the Detroit manufacturer had inadvertently (at least we hope that’s the case) leaked photos a week back on its official website. According to Chevrolet, the 70th anniversary trim package will be available on both the versions of the C8 Corvette – the Stingray and the newly launched Z06.

The 70th Anniversary Edition ‘Vettes will be exclusively available in Carbon Flash Metallic or White Pearl Metallic Tri-coat exterior paint schemes. Aside from special badges, the package features unique wheels with red edges and an anniversary center cap. Also included are red brake calipers, a rear bumper protector, and a trunk cover. Additionally, the 2023 Corvette Stingray coupe gets a red engine cover as a part of the package which is visible from the rear window. Customers can also order optional stripes in Satin Gray or Satin Black.

Inside the cabin, the special touches follow the same theme and add more red to the interior. Besides red contrast stitching and red seatbelts, the package adds two-tone leather GT2 or Competition Sport seats with suede microfiber inserts and 70th Anniversary Edition logos. Other unique elements include special sill plates along with the same sued microfiber material wrapped on the steering wheel with a 70th Anniversary Edition logo. There are no mechanical changes as a part of the 70th Anniversary Edition package. Chevrolet has also announced that the very first 2023 Corvette Z06 will be a 70th Anniversary Edition and it’s being auctioned by Barrett-Jackson on 29th January.
