A superyacht can be either sporty or elegant, and that’s a statement the new 223-foot ISA Gran Turismo superyacht is proving wrong. If this new build feels familiar, it’s because the shipyard has noted that the stunning 2014 motor yacht Okto inspired it. Like Okto, the new vessel flaunts ISA’s instantly recognizable design cues, including the arches connecting the three decks and the circular main deck dining area.
Commissioned by an American owner, the larger yacht is in the able hands of Vallicelli for the exterior lines and Enrico Gobbi for the interiors, a pairing that neatly balances sportiness and elegance. The ISA GT 223 will sleeps up to 14 guests across seven staterooms. The owner, meanwhile, will revel in a dedicated, full-beam, forward-facing suite with a dressing area, a bathroom with double sinks and a shower, and a private lounge with a desk.
The vibe is almost reminiscent of the reported $50 million Okto, where white and black marble is used heavily and set against beige paneling to create a richly appointed space. As with Okto, there’s a strong emphasis on staying connected to the sea, thanks to an expansive beach club, and to wellness, with a dedicated spa area and several social spaces. For those who like to stick to their routines even while away, the yacht will come with a gym with panoramic sea views and a large swimming pool aft, the showpiece of the main deck that looks especially striking in aerial images. With an 11-meter beam and around 1,180 GT of internal volume, the pleasure craft reads sleek but lives roomy.
As for performance, the ISA GT 68M will be powered by twin MTU 12V 4000 M65L engines, with a top speed of 17.5 knots and a range of approximately 5,000 nautical miles, putting transatlantic cruising comfortably within reach. Delivery is scheduled for 2028. According to BOATPro, ISA Yachts has 14 yachts currently under construction or on order, the largest of which is its 100-meter flagship, scheduled for delivery in 2029.
