The time has finally come to say goodbye to the Lamborghini Murciélago, as the last Lamborghini Murciélago LP670-4 Superveloce (4,099th to be precise) to be produced at the automaker’s Sant’Agata Bolognese factory is all ready to be shipped off. Dressed in “Arancio Atlas” paint, the final Murciélago will be shipped off to a Swiss customer. This final car marks the end of the car’s successful nine-year production run. A favorite with speedsters and car enthusiasts alike, the Lamborghini Murciélago will forever be remembered as one of the most legendary supercars to be ever made.
But knowing Lamborghini, you can be assured that this is definitely not the end. During the “end of celebration” ceremony, the automaker’s president and CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, said, “In 2011, we will take a huge step into the future with the successor to the Murciélago – with the most innovative technology and, once again, truly stunning design.”
