The Cannes Yachting Festival, formerly known as Festival de la Plaisance de Cannes, is considered as the most important nautical fair on the Mediterranean and leader in the yachting sector only after the Paris Show. The show sees some the world’s finest shipyards present their latest releases in the Vieux Port and each year attracts thousands of visitors from around the world who come to compare the latest models, designs and accessories that the industry has to offer. At this year’s festival, renowned Benetti shipyard will present its beautiful new Ocean Paradise yacht which will be the largest boat to be present at the show. Measuring at 55m (180-foot), the Ocean Paradise sticks to the classic configuration; built using aluminum and steel, it based on a consolidated and tested Benetti platform.
Ocean Paradise features four guest cabins, all located on the lower deck, and with access from a central hall connected to the main deck foyer. Each cabin has its own spacious bath, and a view of the sea is guaranteed by ample portholes. The Owner’s suite is located on the forward portion of the main deck, and stretches the full width of the yacht. The design has been customized according to the owner’s request. There is an oversize swimming pool with waterfalls on the sun deck, and furnishings that suggest natural environments and facilitate the view of the sea. There is also a gym on the sun deck which dominates the ocean, and a mini bar with DJ console. The yacht is powered by two CAT 3512C (1765 kW) motors with 2,367 horsepower. Cruising range is 4,000 nautical miles at an economical cruising speed of 12 knots.
