Oceanco’s new Enrico Gobbi-designed 262-feet superyacht features an infinity pool on the main deck and a jacuzzi with panoramic views of the ocean

Dutch shipbuilding company Oceanco has revealed its latest superyacht concept named Silver Ocean, which was designed by Enrico Gobbi’s Team For Design. The Venetian architect and designer is internationally known for his superyacht designs. The new uber-luxurious vessel measures 80 meters long and is part of Oceanco’s Simply Custom series. The superyacht’s sleek exterior is said to be inspired by aviation and automotive design, which is accentuated by its distinctive overhangs that give her an “elusive look”, according to the Italian studio. “For me, what’s at the heart of a beautiful, winning design are the fundamental proportions, which are instantly recognizable,” explained Gobbi. “So our first considerations for a yacht design are not details, nor layouts, but the proportions, the volume, the idea.”

The renderings released by Oceanco show the vessel’s sprawling and thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces, including the large aft decks that offer unobstructed views. The pool on the main deck provides a unique swimming experience thanks to its glass bulwark, which offers a clear view of the surroundings and creates the sensation of swimming in the sea. On the other hand, the lower deck features a luxurious beach club complete with a “panoramic” Jacuzzi, central lounge, and gym facilities.

Inside, Simply Custom yachts offer volumes ranging from 2,500 to 2,700 GT. Accommodation includes six guest cabins on the main deck and an owner’s suite on the upper deck, which gets a private terrace, pool, and a fluid stairway leading to the helipad on the bow.

The Silver Ocean features highly efficient hulls by Lateral Naval Architects and is powered by a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system that can operate on low-carbon biofuels. The luxury vessel is expected to have a top speed of 16.5 knots and a cruising speed between 14 and 15 knots. As far as the range goes, the superyacht can cover a distance of 5,000 nautical miles when cruising at 12 to 14 knots. The Simply Custom series was announced by Oceanco at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show last October and features 17 superyachts designed by different designers.
