Not a delicate lotus floating on water, Lily is a bold, maritime marvel that redefines nautical luxury. Unveiled by Dutch design house Vripack in collaboration with yacht builder Oceanco, this 331-foot masterpiece is part of Oceanco’s Beyond Custom series. At first glance, the concept resembles a futuristic whale, with an asymmetrical, split-level design that maximizes sightlines, airflow, and the onboard experience.
Inspired by the organic form of a water lily, the yacht’s flowing exterior lines mimic the soft curves of overlapping petals, forming a protective cocoon. “We were struck by how a lily’s petals overlap and meet only at the center of the flower,” said Vripack designer Marnix J. Hoekstra. “We echoed that by layering the decks transversely, creating split-level platforms and one-and-a-half deck heights.”
One of Lily’s most striking features is the absence of traditional side walkways and terraces, giving it a sleek, instantly recognizable profile. Yet, as any true motor yacht should, Lily connects passengers to the sea through expansive one-way glass windows, offering uninterrupted views of the surrounding vistas. Its design cleverly incorporates extended sun-shaded areas, perfect for younger owners who prioritize comfort and protection from the harsh sun. Still, the yacht features walkaround decks to starboard and a helicopter landing pad on the port side. Below deck, there’s ample storage space for four tenders and an additional helicopter.
The wellness area seamlessly blends relaxation with recreation, featuring a waterside swimming pool, a gym, and a watersports gallery. Overlooking this serene space is an aft deck lounge and a balcony above, complemented by a forward dining area and a well-appointed bar.
With a remarkable volume of 5,600 GT, Lily impresses visually and spatially. Its glass mezzanine and elegant stairway lead to nine luxurious double guest cabins, an open-plan cinema, and a cozy children’s play nest, an adventurous space accessed via a thrilling suspension bridge. The design ensures every generation on board can indulge in both comfort and fun.
The opulent split-level owner’s suite takes privacy to new heights. The bedroom, ensuite, and wardrobe are discreetly positioned half a deck lower for ultimate seclusion.
The owner also enjoys a 3,400-square-foot private sundeck terrace centered around an interior lily pond that acts as the heart of the yacht’s natural airflow system, drawing fresh oxygen from above. This serene space is accessible by elevator from the leisure deck or stepping stones that cross the tranquil lily pond.
Powered by a flexible propulsion system that switches between diesel and methanol, Lily is ready to sail globally without fuel supply concerns. Despite its futuristic aesthetics, Oceanco and Vripack assure that this visionary vessel is ready for construction today.
