The ultimate luxury is not always about having more space, but about having a world of your own even when surrounded by people. That is the idea behind Poseidon, an 86-meter superyacht concept unveiled by Italian shipyard ISA Yachts, which combines the facilities of a floating resort with a private retreat reserved entirely for its owner. Stretching approximately 282 feet, the yacht features two swimming pools, separate hot tubs, a beach club, extensive wellness facilities, and several panoramic lounges. Its sports-car-inspired styling gives the design a distinctive appearance, with sculpted surfaces and a stern that makes the main swimming pool part of the yacht’s architecture. Poseidon is the fourth concept in ISA’s Large Yacht Collection, a series of custom yacht designs developed around an established engineering platform.

The yacht has been designed by Enrico Gobbi of TEAM for Design, who is responsible for both its exterior and interior, while ISA Yachts’ technical department handled the naval architecture, as reported by Boat International. Its high, gently curved bow, slimmed-down signature arch and lateral air intakes create a dynamic profile inspired by sports cars. The automotive influence continues at the stern, where a glazed structure surrounding the main-deck pool is framed by a sculptural detail resembling a sports-car spoiler. Lighting is designed to emphasize the glass and geometric lines after dark, while low-profile bulwarks and extensive glazing preserve views of the sea.
A private deck above a floating resort
Poseidon’s most compelling feature is the way it separates the owner’s private world from the guest facilities below. The entire upper deck is reserved for the owner, with a suite surrounded by 360-degree glazing, a study, dressing room, and a bathroom featuring a double shower and bathtub. Direct access leads to a forward outdoor area with a private swimming pool and sunbathing spaces, which can also serve as a touch-and-go helipad when required. While the owner has this secluded retreat, guests can enjoy the main-deck swimming pool, which combines a larger swimming area with an integrated whirlpool section. A separate glass-sided whirlpool sits within the beach club, while another Jacuzzi accompanies the panoramic sky lounge, giving the yacht two swimming pools and two separate hot tubs.

The beach club is designed as more than a place to step into the water, with fold-down platforms extending its lounge and bar toward the sea. Nearby, guests can access a wellness area with a gym, sauna, steam room, treatment facilities and massage spaces, alongside two additional opening balconies. There is one important choice for a future owner, however, as the amidships garage can accommodate a tender up to 9.5 meters long, or around 31 feet, in place of the gym. The forward garage is intended for a rescue tender and water toys, making the arrangement adaptable to different priorities.
Designed for entertaining and long-distance cruising
On the inside, the main-deck saloon combines conversation seating, a cinema and a dining area, while the owner’s deck has an indoor lounge opening onto an outdoor dining space for up to 14 people. The bridge deck adds a third panoramic lounge beneath a curved, cockpit-inspired roof, complete with a Jacuzzi. Poseidon can accommodate 12 guests in six staterooms or 14 guests in seven, supported by 18 crew members in 10 cabins. That amounts to 1.5 crew members per guest in the 12-person configuration, although the ratio does not imply individual attendants for every guest.

Twin MTU 16V4000M63L engines, each producing 2,240 kilowatts, are expected to deliver a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots. At 12 knots, the projected range is 5,000 nautical miles, equivalent to approximately 5,754 miles, giving the concept long-distance cruising ambitions alongside its resort-style amenities. Poseidon joins the 82-meter Amarcord 82, the 86-meter Amarcord 86, and the 82-meter Essence in ISA’s Large Yacht Collection, which emphasizes bespoke layouts built around a shared engineering foundation. The concept’s defining appeal is ultimately the balance between hosting guests in a floating resort and retaining an entire private deck, complete with a swimming pool, above it all.
