The Lamborghini Urus will feature a state of the art 1,700 watt sound system by Bang & Olufsen

If you for some reason get tired of listening to the eargasmic soundtrack made by the 4.0-liter V8 in the new Lamborghini Urus, the new supercar-like SUV has another neat trick up its sleeve. It’s the first ever Lamborghini to feature a Bang & Olufsen audio system. “Lamborghini and Bang & Olufsen are two remarkable brands with a longstanding commitment to the highest quality and the most exceptional experiences. The two brands share similar values in performance and technology and we are extremely proud of this collaboration,” said Michael Mauser, President of the Lifestyle Audio Division, Harman. The Bang & Olufsen system for the Lamborghini Urus was created through close collaboration between Lamborghini, Fraunhofer IIS, and HARMAN, and it creates an immersive, natural 3D sound experience.

The powerful sound system features 21-channel 1,700-watt BeoCore Class-D Amplifier, scalable Digital Signal Processing (DSP), ICEpower technology, and 21 loudspeakers for high quality, authentic sound. Bang & Olufsen’s expert sound engineers spent over 400 hours fine-tuning and perfecting the system for all seating positions and driving conditions. It also features HARMAN’s patented Vehicle Noise Compensation (VNC) technology which measures the background noise inside the vehicle cabin and dynamically equalizes the audio system in response to different driving styles. To match the car’s dynamic yet luxurious cabin, the speakers feature specially manufactured aluminum elements along with exclusive silk matt top finish with sparkling highlights. The Lamborghini Urus was unveiled earlier this month and the deliveries will commence in spring 2018.
