If you’re a Mariah Carey fan and would love her to sing to you and your loved one on New Year’s Eve, Airbnb is here to grant your wish! The online marketplace has set up a lovely geodesic dome, complete with a huge bed, on the lofty terrace of stock market index Nasdaq for the year-end festivities. The home will be open for two guests on the eve of December 31st.
The lucky pair will have access to an indoor lounge enamored with local art by Jason Douglas Griffin, a dinner spread prepared by a private chef, and views of the larger-than-life celebrations at New York’s time square.
Commenting on the opportunity, Airbnb said: ‘With Times Square celebrations going virtual this year, guests will have a truly unique experience during the traditional confetti celebrations, right below the Ball.” It further added, ‘Life in New York City in 2020 was defined by the resiliency and sacrifices made by frontline workers – and people across the globe were inspired by the bravery and contributions of these everyday heroes.”
In return, the marketplace will also contribute to an organization serving New York City frontline workers and their families in line with year-end celebrations. As for Times Square’s dome experience, New York residents can book the exclusive one-night stay on Monday, December 21, at 9 am via Airbnb’s official website. Quite a way to call it a year!
