Blancpain celebrates Valentine’s Day with the Saint-Valentin 2017 watch

As Valentine’s Day approaches, Blancpain is preparing for the occasion with the launch of watch that celebrates the day of love and lovers. Don’t worry, the Saint-Valentin 2017 watch isn’t covered in hearts and flowers, instead it takes a restrained approach to romance with a simple design and a little bling.

The 29 mm case features 68 diamonds all over its steel bezel and lugs and another 8 diamonds on the mother-of-pearl dial. The watch is filled with cute details, like the red tipped arrow which represents the second hand (Cupid’s arrow anyone?) and even a heart made up of red rubies at 12 o’ clock (we said the watch isn’t covered with hearts, but just one makes a cute tribute!). 19 buff top rubies comprise the heart, adding a bit of colourful shine to this otherwise plain watch.

Inside the watch is the Caliber 913 movement with a glucydur balance-wheel fitted with micrometric regulating screws and equipped with a balance-spring in silicon. Through the sapphire crystal caseback, you can see the white gold oscillating weight adorned with a snailed bevel, polished angles, as well as straight and circular Côtes de Genève. The watch comes with interchangeable straps in red and white.
