Hermès is giving us at least seven good reasons to keep checking the time, and it’s never looked better. At Watches & Wonders 2025, the maison unveiled new interpretations of its whimsical Le Temps Suspendu complication in both the Arceau and Cut collections, marking the first time this poetic function makes its way into the edgy Cut line. Introduced in 2024, the Cut collection is Hermès’ boldest expression of modern watchmaking, and with the Time Suspended function now embedded, it’s become even more intriguing.
Housed in a 39mm 18k rose gold case defined by sharp lines and bold geometry, the watch is powered by the Manufacture Hermès H1912 movement. A playful twist comes in the form of a small seconds hand that rotates counterclockwise, an unexpected touch that adds to the charm. Several versions are available, including two with silver-toned dials, but the one-shot model with a sunburst red dial steals the show. Radiant and romantic, it adds a vibrant pop of color that could brighten even the dullest day.
Meanwhile, the Arceau Le Temps Suspendu returns with a refreshed take on a house classic. The 42mm case, available in white or rose gold, frames an openworked dial that reveals the clever complication beneath. The asymmetrical lugs, a signature of the Arceau line, remain intact. The Manufacture Hermès H1837 movement drives the show and is visible through a transparent caseback. The watch comes in three dial options, sunburst blue, brun désert, and rouge sellier, each offering its own poetic take on time.
While Hermès has yet to reveal pricing and availability, what’s clear is that Le Temps Suspendu remains one of the maison’s most enchanting horological statements, and now, it’s more versatile and desirable than ever.
