Hublot has introduced a limited edition timepiece to honor Novak Djokovic. Lighter than a tennis ball, the watch is made from tennis racquets and polos worn by the tennis superstar.

Hublot has released a new limited edition timepiece called the Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic, which celebrates the legacy and the achievements of the 24-time Grand Slam champion. He is widely considered one of the greatest tennis players of all time due to a combination of skill, mental fortitude, and unparalleled consistency.

Djokovic has been a Hublot brand ambassador for the last three years, and this special timepiece honors this partnership. According to the Swiss watchmaker, the 37-year-old tennis superstar was deeply involved in the design process of the watch. Claimed to be lighter than a tennis ball, the collaborative piece is made from recycled items belonging to Djokovic.

It’s not the first time Hublot has introduced a watch made from recycled materials. Last year, the brand launched a $24,000 watch made with coffee grounds and recycled Nespresso capsules. However, this latest limited-edition creation is different. Hublot says the bezel and the 42mm case of the watch are made from 25 Head rackets along with 17 dark blue and 15 light blue Lacoste shirts worn by Djokovic during the 2023 season.

Thanks to this unique combination, the recycled composite material features fragments of blue textiles and carbon, giving it a distinctive camo effect. Additionally, Hublot’s signature “H” screws have been replaced by ones that look like tennis balls. Even the neon yellow and the white aluminum chronograph pushers recall the colors of a tennis ball.

Housed inside the lightweight case is the brand’s Unico Manufacture chronograph movement, made of 354 parts. Instead of the usual brass parts, Hublot has used sky blue PVD aluminum mainplate and components to reduce the weight of the self-winding movement. The Swiss watch brand claims they were able to reduce 27 percent weight of the caliber by swapping the movement materials. The Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic weighs only 49.5 grams with its elastic strap, which is very impressive. The timepiece is limited to just 100 examples, each priced at $52,400.
