Montblanc TimeWalker Rally Timer Chronograph & Manufacture Chronograph

Montblanc has revealed two new timepieces which will debut at the upcoming 2018 SIHH. The two pre-SIHH watches are a part of the several new models that will join the watchmaker’s TimeWalker collection for 2018. The new Montblanc TimeWalker Rally Timer Chronograph Limited Edition 100 watch and the TimeWalker Manufacture Chronograph both beautifully blend the rich watchmaking past of Minerva with cutting-edge mechanics of the future. Let’s begin with the Rally Timer Chronograph Limited Edition 100 which, as the name suggests, will be limited to only 100 examples. The watch is not only is a new version of last year’s TimeWalker Rally Timer 100 timepiece but is also a reinterpretation of the famous Minerva Rally Timer stopwatch produced by Minerva in the 1960s. It is powered by the chronograph caliber MB M16.29 which is enclosed in a 50mm grade-two titanium case and comes with an Italian brown Sfumato aged leather calf strap which gives the watch a true vintage appeal. The limited edition watch is priced at $37,000 and will be available next year.

The TimeWalker Manufacture Chronograph on the other hand is more like an updated version of last year’s TimeWalker Chronograph Automatic which now comes with Montblanc’s own in-house automatic chronograph movement. The timepiece comes in a 43mm wide satin-finished stainless steel case with a black ceramic bezel which has a tachymeter scale. It features the traditional “panda” white dial with three black chronograph subdials and a red chronograph second hand inspired by the Minerva arrow which contrasts the overall color scheme. The TimeWalker Manufacture Chronograph will retail for approximately $4,990 once it goes on sale next year.
