Vacheron Constantin charms with a rare ladies line, the Égérie collection

If you’re shopping at Vacheron clearly you’re there with your pockets full, looking for a timepiece that defies style statements and fads. Vacheron always delivers and this time they are presenting yet another timepiece that promises to look classic and eternal on your feminine wrists. For those who aren’t clued in, Swiss brand Vacheron Constantin hasn’t made a woman’s watch collection in years which is what makes this series, called Égérie, that much more special. The word Égérie means muse and the female-led design team has made every beautiful woman their muse with this impeccable creation. Take a closer look at the timepiece and you will see many detailed elements, case in point, the brand draws inspiration from the pleats of a woman’s gown. This is beautifully translated in each dial of the first five timepieces wherein the pleat metamorphoses into a sunburst pleated center dial and outer chapter ring. This work of beauty was achieved at the brand’s guilloche workshops. What is common to all Égérie watches other than relentless charm is an off-center subsidiary dial crowned with a cabochon moonstone or rose-cut diamond. The haute couture inspiration translates gracefully in several elements like the numerals and curves imitate fine embroidery work, hour and minute leaf-style hands are reminiscent of a thin haute couture sewing needle.

Vacheron Constantin’s Égérie collection will include five models and all have self-winding movements. The watches are all created in 18-karat rose gold or in stainless steel and charm with dazzling double diamond-set bezels. For those expecting a lot of diamonds and shimmer in true Constantin style, the brand is releasing a 37mm 18-karat white gold moonphase version whose case and dial are completely set with diamonds. The cases boast 292 scintillating diamonds, while the dial is masterfully paved with 510 diamonds. The woman behind the collection understands a woman’s need for versatility which is why the Égérie collection is equipped with an easy-to-use interchangeable strap system. Depending on color of your dial you can choose complimenting straps; the pink gold watch has navy, raspberry, and chestnut brown as options. The diamond pave watch is sold with two strap options: one alligator and one satin. The stainless steel model is sold with a polished five-row bracelet with asymmetric links. The retail prices of the Égérie collection range from $21,100 to $33,400 for the 18-karat gold rendition. The complete pave diamond white gold watch retails for $52,000.
