Jaeger-LeCoultre’s AMVOX2 chronograph tells time and is also the key to your Aston Martin

Who can possibly forget Sean Connery from the Bond movie Goldfinger and his jaunty good looks? But more than his sharp suits and debonairish style, it was his Aston Martin DB5 and all the awesome gadgets that came along which captured the minds of everyone and still continue to do so after 50 years since it was first screened. Although most of them were movie props, thanks to premium watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre who has been with Aston Martin since 1959, we have a James Bond-like watch. It might not trigger fog-screen or rocket launchers, but it’s a proper Aston Martin accessory.

Jaeger-LeCoultre partnered with Aston Martin to turn their AMVOX2 Chronograph watch into the world’s most expensive car key. The original AMVOX2 Chronograph featured a groundbreaking vertical-trigger chronograph and crystal sapphire surface that controls the chronograph function. The crystal sapphire surface on the new AMVOX2 Transponder watch can be used to lock and unlock the doors and even briefly flash the headlights of an Aston Martin to locate it. Aston Martin DBS and Aston Martin Rapide owners will be offered and priced at $34,000, making it the most expensive car key.
