The fastest chronograph in the world now comes in a Khaki green avatar

For 2021, Swiss watch brand Zenith has added a new version of the Defy 21 to the line-up that features a very pleasant-looking earthy colorway. After releasing a blue variant followed by a black and white edition last year, the latest timepiece called the Zenith Defy 21 Urban Jungle arrives with a khaki green look that features a green ceramic case, green strap, and an open-work dial that showcases matching skeleton bridges in a khaki green brushed finish. The 44mm ceramic case of the Urban Jungle edition retains the previous versions’ angular design; however, it now comes with a matte olive green tone. The pushers and the crown at 3 o’clock add contrast to the watch’s green theme with their bare titanium look.

The complex skeleton design of the watch showcases the intricate movement of the watch that features the brand’s unique 1/100 second chronograph complication, which is the highest-frequency chronograph in production today. The Zenith El Primero 9004 movement has two escapements: one for the watch that beats at 5 Hz and one for the chronograph function that operates at 50 Hz. The automatic movement offers a power reserve of 50 hours. The watch also features a khaki green man plate and an oscillating weight with a satin finish to go with the overall theme. Completing the look is a black-lined Cordura-style rubber strap in military green. The Zenith Defy 21 Urban Jungle is available now through authorized dealers and is priced at $14,500.
