LL Exclusive: The St. Regis Abu Dhabi unveils the world’s highest suspended suite for $27,000 a night

It wasn’t very long ago that we reviewed the lavish St. Regis Abu Dhabi. Now if you recall correctly, you will remember us mentioning the Abu Dhabi Suite in yet another one of our enamored musings of the property. That brings us to our latest news (remember you heard it here first)- last week the St. Regis Abu Dhabi finally unveiled its Suspended Presidential Suite. Details? Yes, of course.

Connecting UAE Capital’s Nation Towers…
Suspended between the Nation Towers’ 48th and 49th floors, more than 200 meters above the ground, the accommodation is clearly the Abu Dhabi of suites, what with panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf and the UAE capital’s skyline adding to its St. Regis pedigree. And speaking of the latter, the suspended centerpiece that connects the suite’s two wings blends the legendary St. Regis sophistication to Arabian traditions with floor-to-ceiling windows, an alluring Gilded Age atmosphere and Art Deco-inspired furniture and wait for it, 24-karat gold leaf accents! While that can hardly be topped, velvet upholstered walls in jewel-toned colors, intricate glass mosaics, and cascading crystals lend the space regal compliments.

Two words, bespoke privacy!!
We changed our minds about that not being topped. Clearly this does it. Guests can land their helicopter on the helipad atop the Nation Towers and discreetly take a private elevator in. Monitored by its own security staff, the uber private access to the Abu Dhabi Suite followed by an intimate foyer leading to the impressive majlis living room, clearly redefines the phrase “making an entrance”! Said entrance is only enhanced by what awaits. And that includes three guest rooms, staff quarters, four bathrooms, a kitchen and a dedicated fitness area.

From the majlis, guests ascend a staircase to the Master Suite, which features an elegant lounge, en suite bathroom with freestanding bathtub, and a spacious walk-in leather-clad closet. There is a dedicated St. Regis butler to deliver around-the-clock, personalized service. Guests even get the luxury of a fully furnished private spa with a sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, and two treatment beds. The 1,120-square meter, super suite also houses a 14-seat dining room, private library and a four-seat cinema within.

For the Ultra high net-worth individuals
All that obviously points in one direction, that of the most discerning! The Abu Dhabi Suite has been designed keeping in mind the likes of ultra high net worth individuals of the GCC region. “The Abu Dhabi Suite provides our GCC guests with the ultimate in luxury hospitality with the privacy, security, and relaxation they need to have a completely secluded stay,” said Oliver Key, General Manager, The St. Regis Abu Dhabi. “Our guests staying at the Abu Dhabi Suite can find the comforts of home together with unparalleled personalized and anticipatory service.”

Aforementioned service is available at AED 100,000 ($27,225) a night. Needless to say, the luxury of living in the Abu Dhabi suite isn’t devoid of outside attractions. Located minutes from property, is the new World Trade Center mall, along with the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and many of the embassies, oil and gas companies and other business institutions.
