The Legendary and Unique Watches: The Collection of a Lifetime is aptly titled as it culminates no less than 40 years of passion that resulted in a collection so fantastic it includes some outstanding examples by renowned independent watchmakers, including very rare references by Patek Philippe, Rolex, and others.

The auction will take place on November 6 and will be the most important single-owner watch collection auction Christie’s has held in Geneva. The lot is expected to gather an astounding $20.7 million. Among the stellar pieces that truly stand out are a Richard Mille limited-edition watch, an 18K Rolex Daytona, and a Vacheron Constantin “Mercator.” The Richard Mille limited-edition watch is the first example ever to be offered at an international auction. The 18K timepiece is the result of 40 days of round-the-clock work. The tourbillon shines in the lower part of the transparent dial with a titanium minute ring and luminous hour indexes. The limited-edition Richard Mille timepiece alone is expected to rack up a cool $4.7 million.

Rolex watches are quite the rage these days, and this exceptional 18k gold Cosmograph Daytona will be even more sought-after with its gorgeous champagne “Paul Newman” dial and bracelet. It is an extremely rare chronograph produced between 1966 and 1969. The breathtaking Vacheron Constantin “Mercator” is a platinum automatic wristwatch with a Métiers d’Art “Ferrari Enzo” cloisonné enamel dial. That explains the timepiece’s high estimate of $207,076. The month-long world preview begins in New York on 1 October 2022 and will take the terrific watches to Hong Kong, Dubai, London, Los Angeles, and Miami.
