An ultra-rare Lamborghini Reventón Roadster, one of only 15 ever produced, is set to turn heads once again as it hits the auction block at RM Sotheby’s in Milan on May 22, 2025. Expected to fetch between $1.4 million and $1.7 million, the jet-inspired supercar blends military-grade aesthetics with the raging power of Lamborghini’s finest V12 engineering.
Originally unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Reventón Roadster was Lamborghini’s dramatic tribute to the stealth and aggression of modern fighter jets—specifically the F-15 Eagle and F-22 Raptor. With a body finished in Grigio Reventón, a unique satin grey paint evoking radar-deflecting surfaces, and a cockpit-style interior trimmed in Grey Alcantara, the car captures the spirit of aviation with brutal elegance. Its geometric lines, aggressive stance, and signature scissor doors pay homage to jet fuselages, while digital TFT displays inside mirror the head-up instruments found in fighter cockpits.
Beneath its stealthy skin lies a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V-12, borrowed from the Murciélago LP670-4 SV, delivering 660 horsepower to all four wheels. Mated to a six-speed automated manual transmission, this powertrain hurls the Reventón Roadster from zero to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 211 mph. True to its aviation roots, the Roadster includes a deployable rear spoiler that adjusts its angle automatically at high speeds for enhanced downforce, along with an active rollover protection system that activates like a fighter jet’s emergency protocol.
This particular example has traveled only 2,500 miles since its first delivery to a Swiss owner in July 2010. It later passed to a German collector and has been meticulously maintained, with documented service visits in 2012, 2013, and 2018. The auction includes the car’s original documentation, a Lamborghini certificate signed by former CEO Stephan Winkelmann, and even the model’s unique “flight case” containing its service materials.
Originally sold in 2019 for approximately $1.2 million, the Reventón Roadster’s value has steadily appreciated—a rare trajectory in the supercar world. With its combination of low mileage, impeccable provenance, and ultra-limited production, the Reventón Roadster isn’t just a vehicle—it’s a rolling piece of design history, a collector’s crown jewel, and Lamborghini’s most literal interpretation of a road-going fighter jet.
