Remember the monstrous Ram 1500 TRX 6×6 performance truck that we had covered last year? Built by a Florida-based company named Apocalypse Manufacturing that’s known for its wild 6×6 conversions, the Ram 1500 TRX 6×6 is definitely the vehicle I’ll want with me in the event of a zombie attack. Warlord is a befitting name for the 6-wheeled truck – just look at the behemoth, it can even make a Humvee look regular. In case you think this beast of a machine should be a part of your garage, the Apocalypse Warlord is headed to the Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction scheduled to take place on January 29. The 6×6 off-roader will go under the hammer with no reserve and has been given a primetime slot between 6 and 8 pm. We are already expecting some hot bidding action on this one.
In terms of specifications, the truck is powered by the familiar supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 engine that produces 750hp and 650 lb-ft of torque, which is enough to propel the huge pickup from 0 to 60mph in just 4 seconds. Unlike the other creations by Apocalypse Manufacturing, the Warlord has minimum changes made to its design, except for a custom frame made of 0.25-inch thick steel to carry a spare tire and modifications to fit the company’s proprietary middle axle that adds two more powered wheels. The crazy 6X6 truck also features 37-inch mud-terrain tires wrapped around 18-inch wheels. additionally, the Ram logo on the front grille has been replaced by a similar-looking logo that reads War. While the company has priced the Warlord at $250,000, it’ll be interesting to see the hammer price at the auction.
