Harry Styles launches highly anticipated gender-neutral beauty brand Pleasing, with pearl-inspired polishes and luscious serums

English-born singer Harry Styles, who rose to fame as one of the five boy band One Direction members, has found a new direction, and it is ‘pleasing,’ literally! Harry Styles’s highly-anticipated beauty brand Pleasing is here, and the lineup of nail polishes and skincare products looks promising and incredible. Styles shared with Dazed his shift from musician to mogul, “It’s starting with nail polish, because that was kind of the birth of what it was for.”

He continued, “Me seeing a color on a flower or a wallpaper or something and thinking, ‘Oh, I wanna put that on my nails.’ It was a fun little project, but during the pandemic, and when we eventually named it Pleasing, it felt like it was so much more than nail polish. I’ve always found that the moments in my life which have brought me the most joy are the small ones, whether it be, you know, the end of the night under the stars or a bite of food, or sitting with your friends thinking.”

For now, the non-binary brand will drop two serums and four pearl-inspired polishes. The Perfect Pearl collection includes nail polish in three shades of black, pink, and white. It also features a clear polish called Pearly Tops Nail Polish. Skin Care products have a glow-boosting formula, such as the Pearlescent Illuminating Serum, as the idea of the brand is not to cover and conceal but illuminate and highlight what is already there. The Pleasing Pen is an eye-catching product, pun intended, as this dual-ended steel roller pen featuring an eye serum and lip oil is just what one needs to feel refreshed.

Pleasing is marketed to both men and women, retailing between $20 a single polish to $65 for the complete set of lacquers. As the website states, the products are vegan and follow clean beauty principles made with love sans parabens or animal testing. Harry Styles enjoys the reputation of being one of the best-dressed musicians in the world. Will he turn into the most successful makeup mogul too? Let’s keep up with Styles to find out.
