JamesList pays tribute to Steve McQueen by offering 1964 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta for $1.6million

Fans of Steve McQueen are familiar with the legendary actor’s love for wheels. To commemorate the car enthusiast star’s 80th birth anniversary, JamesList is offering for sale a car just like the one owned by the actor. Yes, as a tribute to the legendary actor and a treat to all his fans, JamesList is offering for sale a 1964 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso. The actor himself was also a proud owner of one such beauty (a 1963 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso), which was auctioned in 2007 for $2.3million. Fans can buy the car on sale on JamesList for a sum of €1.2 million ($1.6million). Although not owned by the star, it would definitely be great to share the same taste in cars with “the King of Cool,” wouldn’t it?

What is more, the car is a rare beauty, one of only 350 ever built in an 18 month long production period. Heck, it is to date considered one of the most sought-after of all Ferrari’s front-engined V-12 powered Gran Turismo. A sleek, luxe beauty, the Lusso is said to combine the best features of the 250 GT Short Wheelbase Berlinetta and the 250 GTO.
The 1964 Ferrari offered on JamesList was owned by the world-famous conductor Herbert von Karajan. Originally introduced at the 1962 Paris Motor Show, the last of Ferrari’s 250 GT series bore the Lusso or “luxury” designation for its posh appointments. The car offered for sale is finished in silver and boasts of a red leather interior. Said to be in perfect condition, it was completely restored in 1985 by Modena-based specialist Brandolini.
So if you are a fan of McQueen or an avid Ferrari enthusiast, this car is definitely a must-buy for you.
