The man with the golden heart, who gifted personalized Rolex watches to the entire stunt team of John Wick 4, has now recovered his stolen luxury watch collection, including a $9,000 Rolex. The collection, featuring an engraved Rolex Submariner watch along with three others stolen from Reeves’ Los Angeles’s home in December 2023, was located by police in Chile, according to People.
Interestingly, one of the recovered watches was among those Reeves gifted his stunt team in 2021, engraved with his first name and the heartfelt message, “2021, JW4, thank you, The John Wick Five,” according to the outlet. Chilean authorities raided several homes linked to suspects in the burglary as part of a joint investigation with U.S. law enforcement.
The 60-year-old actor, celebrated for his iconic roles in The Matrix and John Wick,
has faced burglaries before. His Los Angeles home was invaded twice in just three days back in 2014, and again during Christmas in 2023. Yet, having his watches resurface 5,600 miles away seems like a poetic testament to the power of good karma.
Reeves, admired for his quiet philanthropy, is no stranger to random acts of kindness. He funds a private cancer foundation supporting children’s hospitals and cancer research, inspired by his sister’s battle with leukemia. As for the theft, a 21-year-old man has reportedly been arrested as a suspect in the robbery.
