After trying hard to sell her NFT, Melania Trump will rely on her husband and former President Donald Trump to make some moolah. The world is a lot more interested in Donald Trump than they ever will be in Melania, which is why this idea already sounds promising. Clearly, he is the man with the business acumen as time has shown and now the former first lady is set to launch a new collection of NFTs with her husband’s ‘iconic’ moments in office for President’s Day. Melania’s digital NFT collection called POTUS NFT Collection includes 10,000 items of 10 different designs.
Each will sell for $50 each, and if sold out (which I think people will shell out for a piece of Trump-related history), this venture will bring in a fantastic half a million dollars. Melania Trump’s luck with Non-fungible tokens might change with this attempt. Earlier her ‘Head of State’ auction did nto turn out like Donald Trump predicted. The auction had a $250,000 asking price but ended $80,000 short of its goal. The disastrous predicament resulted from the former first lady falling prey to the cryptocurrency plunge. As per Fortune, a Bloomberg News analysis of recorded transactions on the Solana blockchain, which hosted the auction of Trump’s “Head of State Collection, 2022,” has linked Trump, or at least members of her team, to the winning bid of 1,800 SOL, the equivalent of $185,000.
Daily Mail shared, ‘I am proud to expand upon my NFT platform and am honored to be able to recognize important moments in our nation’s history,’ said Trump in a statement. ‘I look forward to collaborating with others to offer truly special, authentic parts of U.S. history.’
According to a report from her office, Trump provided ‘creative direction for the collection. The POTUS NFT collection will include NFTs that will be revealed to buyers only after purchase. It will use the Solana blockchain protocol and be released on February 21, President’s Day.
