Even since we heard that music’s favorite rebel Rihanna was set to become the new face of Dior, we’ve waited with bated breath to see what this unexpected but welcome collaboration would bring us. Titled Secret Garden IV the campaign images are mysterious and intriguing with a heavy dose of glamor injected via sparkly sequins, intricate accessories and of course Rihanna’s smoldering looks.
Rihanna joins Jennifer Lawrence, Natalie Portman and Marion Cotillard in the league of women that Dior calls its own. But she maintains the smart and sexy vibe of her music follows her here as painted red lips and flawless skin enchant us as much as the clothes and accessories she flaunts.
The campaign is shot by Steven Klein at the Palace of Versailles and the singer sizzles in every image, be it facing a mirror in a shimmering liquid dress or in a close up wearing elaborate sunglasses and holding a heavily detailed clutch. If this is just a sneak peek, then the entire campaign will have us struggling to breathe, and in this case we just can’t wait to be breathless!
