Michelle Vale’s signature tote just got a taste of some German engineering. No, it did not become some bizarre bag-on-wheels. Quite the opposite, in fact. Audi reeled in Vale to craft a creation that would reflect the car’s refined philosophy. “Audi places a premium on attention to detail when it comes to its performance vehicles, and we found a kindred spirit in Michelle Vale and the quality she designs into her products,” said Loren Angelo, Audi of America’s marketing director. The resulting Michelle Vale-Audi tote is a stylish yet functional creation, much like its influential auto inspiration.
According to Vale, “the colors were inspired by the Audi 2013 color palette”. It has two striking color options of black and silver, both with taupe handles, designed in exquisite Italian leather. For $395, the bag is big enough to contain several pockets and even a compartment for an iPad. The blessed bag will feature alongside illustrious Audi designs in the car company’s catalog and retail on their US website from Aug 30 onwards, besides selecting the brand’s dealerships. And if you’re wondering what may have brought about such a refreshing offering from a straight-A automobile giant, the answer could probably be attributed to the likes of Bentley wooing women with their range of handbags and in the process, paving the way for other inventive companies.
