Since fall is around the corner, it’s time to tuck away your candy colored handbags and pull out cool-weather staples instead. But who said a brown bag has to be boring? Louis Vuitton’s new City Cruiser bag uses their classic monogram canvas to create unconventional new shape. Already spotted on the arm of Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez, this bag will probably be spotted on the whole “squad” by the time autumn rolls around.
The City Cruiser is inspired by LV’s Cruiser luggage and features a boxy shape that can be transformed into a more traditional tote with the opening of the top buckled strap. The brand says it’s roomy enough to use as an overnight bag and it comes with a cross body strap for hands-free carrying too.
You can choose from two versions, Monogram canvas with matching canvas trim or Monogram canvas with contrasting navy leather trim. Taylor and Selena were given the leather trim version, but we prefer the more neutral canvas trim. Celebrate the last days of summer by paring it with a strapless day dress, or get into fall mode by teaming it with a chic navy coat and tall boots. Either way, it’s a reliable and versatile handbag that can be an investment purchase.
