Colm Dillane is lending the super to iconic luxury brand Louis-Vuitton for the LV FW23 camera bag. The Streetwear sensation KidSuper has joined forces with the French Maison for an ingenious camera bag that does justice to both camera functions and a handbag! Yes, it is an ultra-style, eye-catching accessory, but it is also a functioning camera. It resembles a vintage, handheld film camera, but it is one of the most advanced handbags we have encountered in a long time. The KidSuper founder indeed did a splendid job of fitting into Virgil Abloh’s massive shoes, albeit temporarily. In a recent Instagram post, Dillane revealed that the bag effectively amalgamates form and function.

The camera connects to a smartphone, and any video can be played directly on the screen. The Instagram post also showcased the footage shot on the camera. Kidsuper shared a post, ‘Louis Vuitton Camera Bag™️ // One of my favorite pieces from the Louis Vuitton collection. The camera bag not only works as a bag, but we also works as a camera. Swipe right to see the view from the bag during the show. Pretty amazing. This unfortunately didn’t make mass production but this is amazing.’

It is indeed the perfect companion for the planet packed with content creators at every corner. While details are scarce, the bag presents spacious compartments for camera gear, lenses, and accessories. The LV Camera Bag from Colm Dillane’s FW23 collection is a limited-edition accessory and one insane must-have.

Meet the quirky New Yorker, Colm Dillane –
This 31-year-old founder of KidSuper and Louis Vuitton guest designer went from designing screen-printed tees as a teen to being accepted into the high-fashion club. He dabbled in professional football and went down the academic road with a mathematics degree at New York University. The fashion bug never left his side, and in June 2019, the first KidSuper runway debuted during Paris Fashion Week. It struck a chord, and partnerships with bigwigs like Puma and LVMH followed. “I want it to be clear how hard I’ve worked, how little connections I once had, how many different skills I’ve had to learn – sewing, editing, painting and animation included. I know it’s unexpected, but maybe I’ve worked hard enough to deserve this,” said Dillane.
